If you’ve ever camped in a travel trailer, you know one of the most important steps is getting it leveled. If your camper isn’t level, not only will you feel uncomfortable, but it could also damage your rig over time. However, you need not worry! It's easier than you think to level your travel trailer at the campground. Here are some tips for getting it done quickly and safely.

Choosing Your Spot

The first thing you should do is find an appropriate spot to park your travel trailer. Before you get started, make sure that there is enough space for your camper and that the ground is flat so that it won’t be too difficult to level it. Once you have selected a spot and backed into position, it’s time to start leveling!

Using Blocks

To level your travel trailer RV, you'll need some blocks or “levelers.” These can be purchased at camping stores or online retailers if they didn’t come with your travel trailer. Place them under the low side of your wheels until they are even with the other wheels on that side.

Next, place two more blocks under both sides of the frame until they are perfectly even. It's always a good idea to double-check with a spirit leveler just to make sure everything is perfect before moving on to setting up the rest of your camper.
